TRUMP EVOQUE UN POSSIBLE ACCORD AVEC L IRAN
Donald Trump asserts that an agreement with Iran could be reached soon to avert a resumption of the conflict. After threatening Tehran with further strikes against its nuclear facilities, the US president is now optimistic about a diplomatic solution. His vice president, JD Vance, shares this optimism, while indirect talks continue under the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan. Iran also claims to be engaged in intensive consultations, but is conditioning any agreement on the lifting of the US naval blockade and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The positions of the two countries, however, remain far apart.
