POPE LEO XIV ON TOUR OF LATIN AMERICA

Three weeks after undergoing surgery for lung cancer, Pope Leo XIV is embarking on a twelve-day tour of Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru. The Vatican maintains that his health requires no special measures and emphasizes its determination to maintain his schedule. This trip will include a symbolic visit to Peru, where the pontiff served for nearly twenty years, as well as political and religious meetings and discussions with victims of sexual abuse within the Church.
