HE ISRAELI OPPOSITION WANTS TO OUTSIDE NETANYAHU
The Change bloc, led by centrist Gadi Eisenkot, has convened to organize Benjamin Netanyahu's departure and attempt to form a new government. Following the October 27 parliamentary elections, no party secured an absolute majority: Netanyahu's supporters won 53 seats compared to 48 for the opposition. The 19 seats held by Arab parties could prove decisive, but their potential support is dividing the opposition. President Isaac Herzog is expected to consult with the political parties soon to select the person tasked with forming the next government.
